In this guide, we’ll go over the best methods to keep your stainless steel water bottles completely clean.

Why You Should Keep Your Stainless Steel Bottles Clean?

Reusable stainless steel bottles are becoming more famous as they help you and us reduce the use of single-use plastic. So, if you want to keep these bottles safe and get them to last longer, you need to keep the bottles clean.

As bottles will always remain most, it’s easy for mold and bacteria to form around the rim of the bottle. These bacteria can lead to food poisoning and gastroenteritis. Regardless of what you’re using the bottles for (coffee, hot chocolate, water, iced tea), you need to make sure you clean your bottles after every use.

Maintenance of Your Stainless Steel Bottles

If you’re using your stainless steel water bottle every day, there are a number of things you can do to keep your bottles in the best possible condition. After you use the bottle, unscrew the lid and run it through the dishwasher. Most stainless steel bottle lids are dishwasher safe. You need to make sure that the lid is completely dry before you put it back on. This makes sure that the lid doesn’t become a breeding ground for germs.

Wash the bottle out thoroughly using warm water and soap. If there are hard areas to clean, you can use a clean cloth or a small brush to scrub the inside and remove any germs with the bottle. Rinse the bottle out thoroughly and again leave it to dry before you use it next time.
