Most people encountering Go24 Bottles today, especially through the Naruto or Shin-chan collections, have no reason to know the manufacturing history sitting behind the brand. It's worth knowing, partly because it explains a few of the choices Go24 makes on materials and quality, and partly because it's a more interesting story than "another bottle company launched a new line."
Starting in a market dominated by imports
Pexpo was founded in 2014-2015, entering India's steel bottle and vacuum flask category at a point when the domestic market leaned heavily on imported products, a large share of it from Chinese manufacturers offering steel bottles at prices domestic producers struggled to match. That's a familiar pattern across a lot of manufacturing categories in India during that period: strong domestic engineering capability, undercut on price by imports produced at a different cost structure entirely.
Pexpo's response wasn't to compete purely on price. The company pushed toward end-to-end domestic manufacturing, building out its own production rather than importing components and assembling locally, and pursued the industry's first Anti-Dumping Duty ruling against Chinese steel bottle imports in India. That's a formal trade remedy process, not a marketing claim, it requires demonstrating actual material harm to domestic industry through a government investigation, and getting a ruling in your favor changes the competitive landscape for every domestic manufacturer in the category, not just the company that filed it.
Why this matters for a product decision, not just a corporate history note
A company that spent years arguing for domestic manufacturing standards, and building the case to defend them formally, has an obvious incentive to keep its own materials and construction genuinely up to that standard rather than just gesturing at it. That's context worth having when you see specs like 18/8 steel grade or three-layer insulation listed on a Go24 product: this isn't a company's first attempt at getting bottle manufacturing right.
Where Go24 fits into that history
Go24 is a newer, lifestyle-focused brand Pexpo launched in March 2026, aimed at a different segment than Pexpo's original utility-driven customer base, younger, more design-and-identity-conscious buyers, brought in partly through licensed pop-culture collaborations like the Sony YAY! partnership covering Naruto and Shin-chan. It's a new brand identity built on top of manufacturing experience that predates it by roughly a decade.
The short version
Pexpo didn't start as a lifestyle brand. It started as a manufacturer competing directly against import pricing pressure, and won a formal trade case doing it. Go24 is the newer, design-led brand built on that foundation, not a separate story starting from zero.
